Quinn Ewers finished a season with the Longhorns that was marred by his injuries initially. We really didn’t see the same player after he recovered, as questions were raised about his consistency and game sharpness. He dismissed the criticisms and speculations and went straight for the 2025 NFL draft. This was a player who didn’t have it easy throughout the season, as his NFL Combine outing was also visibly shaky. However, he still has someone to support him through these tough times, and this time, she has a message for the quarterback that will just melt your heart.

Quinn Ewers is undoubtedly reveling in love for his girlfriend and making us jealous in all departments (especially love) with pictures and adorable moments posted on his Instagram regularly. This time, the message couldn’t be any more endearing. Quinn Ewers and his girlfriend Madelyne Barnes made their relationship public in February 2023, and they have been sharing adorable moments ever since.

Their moments are a testament to their inseparable bond and the love they both carry for each other. Madelyne, it seems, didn’t miss a single game for Texas, as she used to cheer for her boyfriend from the stands. She used to post photos after the games and even had one with the beloved Texas star Matthew McConaughey when she met him after the game. Today, she has posted a message wishing ‘happy birthday’ to the ace Texas quarterback and, of course, her boyfriend.

She wrote on her Instagram story, sharing a photo of Quinn, “Happy Birthday!!, Love you more than words can describe”. She posted a picture of Quinn Ewers with both lovebirds wearing blue and Madelyne leaning on Quinn; behind them is a flag of Texas, and the Capitol building is visible clearly. In another story, she shared another message for her love. Quinn Ewers is seen holding her up in his arms as she lays happily wearing an adorable white dress. Both lovebirds look intoxicated in love with each other as Ewers’ innocent smile beams with eyes closed in the photo. She wrote, “22!” with emojis of two champagne glasses clinking together. But do you know who Madelyne actually is?

Unlike Ewers, Madelyne doesn’t have an illustrious, high-profile life. She is a student at the University of Oklahoma, graduating in social media marketing. Her LinkedIn page gives us a peek into her professional life, as she has been working for Fee Ideal 360, which is a medical services corporation, since 2023. On her Instagram, Madelyne has 11.1K followers and regularly posts pictures of Quinn Ewers and her friends. Moving on, let’s see what lies for Quinn Ewers in the draft.

Is Quinn Ewers going to the Dallas Cowboys?

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the teams that can go for Quinn Ewers. They also have all the reasons to do that. This is because Dak Prescott hasn’t been able to perform to his standards and is not looking like the player who will lead them into the Super Bowl. Prescott currently has the most expensive contract in the NFL, which stands at around $60 million per year. However, he hasn’t been able to translate that huge salary into on-field results. The 2024 season didn’t go that well for the Cowboys. Due to inconsistent plays, offensive line injuries, and the scarcity of actual playmakers. The Cowboys even lost Prescott to a season-ending injury. And that’s why Quinn Ewers is looking like a solid option at the QB position.

The player has the requisite experience with the Longhorns. In his 3 seasons with the team, he consistently delivered and produced those clutch moments. He finished his stint with a whopping 9,103 passing yards, resulting in 67 touchdowns with just 24 interceptions. This is a player who can provide depth and most probably the ‘edge’ that the Cowboys are looking for. Moreover, Ewers has also shown us in moments that he could run, too, as he utilized his rushing abilities in scoring 8 rushing touchdowns in his stint with Texas.

On a rookie contract, the player will have some room to develop and quickly transition into that leadership role that the Cowboys are after. But it isn’t just pure speculation; there’s a solid connection, too. One of his Texas teammates, Paxton Anderson, is the grandson of Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones. This connection would surely have a bigger bearing than expected. They have the 12th overall pick in the first round, but Ewers is touted as a later-round pick. So, they would likely have no problem landing the quarterback if they wanted to.
